TANK X takes projector phones to a new brightness level. Its 220-lumen DLP projector delivers clearer, more usable images than typical low-brightness devices, making projection practical in bright indoor spaces and shaded outdoor areas. Walls or tents instantly become a large viewing surface. In high-brightness mode, it runs continuously for up to 5 hours, while Night mode extends projection up to 6 hours. Usage and safety notes

1. Projection function
   For optimal projected image quality and brightness, it is recommended to use the 8849 TANK X in a dimly lit environment, with a projection distance of 1.5–2 meters. Image resolution and brightness decrease as projection distance increases.
2. Drop resistance warning
   Although 8849 rugged phones (including TANK X) and tablets have passed IP68/IP69K certification tests, they remain precision electronic devices. Drop resistance can vary depending on factors such as impact angle, surface hardness and long-term wear. Using the original protective case is strongly recommended to enhance overall and long-term protection.
3. Water and dust resistance warning
   This device is rated IP68/IP69K according to IEC 60529. Tests are performed under controlled laboratory conditions in static fresh water (up to 1.8m depth for up to 30 minutes). In daily use, exposure to seawater, pool water, soapy water, hot water or other liquids may reduce protection performance. Do not use buttons or ports underwater. Water and dust resistance is not permanent and may decrease over time due to normal wear.
4. Battery and charging safety
   The built-in battery of the 8849 TANK X cannot be removed. Unauthorized or unprofessional disassembly may damage the device and will void water/dust resistance and warranty. Please use original or 8849-certified accessories for fast charging. Charging in extremely high/low temperatures, or when the device is wet, may trigger protection mechanisms and reduce charging speed. Do not charge the device while wet.
5. Screen and display
   The 120Hz adaptive refresh rate adjusts automatically depending on displayed content to balance smooth performance and power consumption. Some apps or games may be limited to specific frame rates. The display uses durable glass with an anti-scratch coating; however, contact with sand, gravel or sharp objects should be avoided.
6. Storage and expansion
   The OS and preinstalled apps take up part of total storage capacity; therefore, actual available space is smaller than the nominal value. For expandable storage, a microSD UHS-I Class 10 or higher card is recommended, formatted in exFAT to support large files.
7. Dimensions and appearance
   Dimensions and weight may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances. Screen size is measured diagonally with rounded corners; the actual visible area is slightly smaller.
8. Camera features
   Camera resolution and features may be adjusted via software updates. Some shooting modes dynamically change resolution and frame rate. Camera launch and autofocus performance may be affected in extremely low or high temperatures.
9. Network and connectivity

10. Accessories and maintenance
    8849 rugged phones include waterproof port covers. Before use, make sure all covers are fully inserted and show no wear or damage. If the device gets wet, wipe it and let it rest for a while before charging. Do not charge immediately. Clean ports and speaker openings regularly to prevent dust buildup that can affect performance.
11. Environmental adaptability
    Recommended operating temperature: 0°C–35°C (32°F–95°F). Battery performance and screen response may decrease in extreme temperatures. Prolonged exposure to UV light or chemical solvents may affect device durability and casing color.
12. Warranty coverage
    Damage caused by liquid ingress, drops, crushing, disassembly or unauthorized repairs, or use of non-original accessories is not covered by warranty.
13. Performance warning
    Dynamic memory expansion (virtual RAM) allocates part of internal storage as additional system memory. Real-world gains depend on app load and storage performance. Sufficient free space is required to enable this feature.
14. Durability warning
    Water, dust and drop resistance are not permanent features. Protection performance may gradually decrease due to daily wear, impacts and aging. Dust or sand can enter the internal cooling fan and cause it to stop. This can usually be resolved by using compressed air, as done in car service centers. Do not intentionally test the device beyond its certified limits for water or drop resistance.
15. Safety warning
    The 8849 TANK X rugged smartphone is equipped with multiple built-in sensors and has been tested and validated in 8849 R&D laboratories. Prolonged use in harsh environments—such as strong magnetic fields, high temperature/humidity or heavy dust—may reduce sensor accuracy and shorten service life.
